Ernie Brache, President of AEC, is an FAA DER with approval authorization in electrical systems and equipment. He has held the DER designation since December of 1990. Along with over 70 additional staff members, AEC has established a close working relationship with the FAA, and in particular, with the Aircraft Certification Office (ACO), the Aircraft Evaluation Group (AEG), and the Flight Standards District Office (FSDO). AEC’s relationship with regulatory agencies extends to foreign authorities such as Transport Canada (TC) and the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).

With a DER on staff, AEC is kept current on regulatory issues that are inherent to a fast-paced, dynamic aerospace industry. Keeping pace with compliance requirements on an on-going basis ensures timely certification support, and consequently, the timely delivery of aircraft to operators.
